Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library: A New Digital Edition of Wright’s Catalogue

A digital re-presentation of William Wright’s Catalogue of Syriac manuscripts in the British Museum (1870-1872) with more than 1,200 Syriac manuscript catalogue entries encoded as TEI XML documents. These data are enriched with through the linking of persons, places, and works to the broader Syriaca.org knowledge graph of Syriac studies. The web portal permits enhanced search and browse capabilities, provided new mechanisms to explore and research this vital collection of Syriac manuscripts.
Syriaca.org: The Syriac Reference Portal

Reference portal for persons, places, literary works, along with a 29,000+ item bibliography related to Syriac literature and culture. Serves as a research hub connecting together digital resources for researchers, students, cultural heritage community members, and the broader public interested in the history of Syriac literature. Data are avaiable as TEI XML documents, and are serialized into a Linked Open Data knowledge graph of Syriac studies.
Sinai Manuscripts Digital Library and Data Portal

The Sinai Manuscripts Digital Library and Data Portal provide access to digital images of a portion of the manuscript collection of St. Catherine’s Monastery of Sinai. The Data Portal provides rich descriptive metadata about these manuscripts, facilitating data-intensive and comparative codicological research across the collection.
