What I’ve been working on
A Digital Catalogue of Syriac Manuscripts in the British Library

- Developing a digital database (TEI XML) of more than 1,200 Syriac manuscript catalogue entries
- Supervising a team of researchers to create, edit, and proofread almost 200 new TEI XML records
- Designed, implemented, and iterated a data pipeline that decreased the workload and increased the efficiency of catalogue record creation
The Syriac Gazetteer

- Geographical reference database with over 2,000 entries
- Integrated 450 new data records and updated 270 existing records
- Maintain all data in conformance with custom TEI XML schema
Caesarea-Maritima.org: A Digital Archive

- Designed and implemented a TEI XML data model for pre-modern written references to Caesarea-Maritima
- Maintained the 1,000 entry Zotero library for Caesarea Maritima: A Comprehensive Bibliography
- Built an oXygen XML Author form using CSS for data input
The Beth Qatraye Gazetteer

- Created a TEI XML database of medieval places related to Qatar and its surrounding region
- Performed XML record creation and merging from CSV data tables
- Developed and deployed a Python web scraper to integrate linked data from the online Brill Encylopedia of Islam, Second Edition
- Integrated coordinate data from various geographic datasource APIs via Python script
